​英語で唄う八木節　”THE SHOUGUN TAKAUJI”

　② We're a Yagibushi folk song band.

　③ I want to sing a Yagibushi-song.

　④ If you ask me, "What do you sing about?"

　⑤ I'll answer the Shougun Takauji.

　⑥ How did Takauji succeed to be a shougun?

　⑦ Please enjoy, Yagibushi-song.

２）Haa～

　① A long, long, long time ago

　② A noble family, the Ashikaga family

　③ The Ashikaga family wanted a baby.

　④ Takauji was born, two pigeons sang.

　⑤ He's sure to be a great general

　⑥ A great general, Takauji Shougun.

　⑦ A great general, Takauji Ashikaga.

３）Haa～

　① It was the civil war era.

　② The Emperor Godaigo shouted Takauji,

　③ "Attack the Houjou family, beat it ! "

　④ The Ashikaga family decided to fight

　⑤ against an enemy, the Houjou family.

　⑥ Takauji did it, beat the Houjou family.

　⑦ Takauji was named after the emperor.

４）Haa～

　① The Emperor Godaigo had a good time,

　② but peasants cried and cried

　③ day and night for a hard job.

　④ Japan fell into a state

　⑤ of disorder.  Takauji Ashikaga

　⑥ decided ti beat the Emperor Godaigo

　⑦ The Emperor Godaigo became an enemy.

５）Haa～

　① The Emperor Godaigo commanded Masashige

　② to beat Takauji, the Ashikaga family

　③ Masashige, Takauji fought at the Minato River

　④ and Takauji defeated Masashige.

　⑤ It was a victory over the emperor.

　⑥ Takauji Ashikaga took plase of the emperor.

　⑦ At last, Takauji became a shougun.

６）Haa～

　① Takauji made some laws

　② and began to trade with China.

　③ Again, Japan took back the peace.

　④ Times passes but his great name

　⑤ will live on forever.

　⑥ Kyoto, Kamakura, so maniy parts

　⑦ A great shougun, Takauji Ashikaga Oh ～isane～
